TCHOG Women’s
Riding Challenge Rules
The TCHOG Women’s Riding Challenge is open to all women who have (and maintain)
an active membership in TCHOG during 2008. It doesn’t matter if you ride your
own bike or ride on the back (or in a car!), you can participate!
The rules are simple:
1. Get started in January 2008. Present your 2008 TCHOG membership card at the
Chapter Meeting, Slow Speed Skills, Group Riding Skills (upon return), or LOH
Super Shopping Sunday (30 minutes before departure), and receive your TCHOG
Women’s Riding Challenge card.
2. At each qualified Chapter event, the Challenge Coordinator (or her designee)
or a Road Captain (at skills and rides) will punch your TCHOG Women’s Riding
Challenge card. You must bring your card to get credit for participation. (No
retroactive punches.)
3. Return your card to the Challenge Coordinator (or her designee) in November
at the Chapter Meeting, Group Riding Skills, or LOH Luncheon. The Challenge
Coordinator will count all points and her decision is final.
4. If you lose your card, you can get another card. HOWEVER, you will only
receive punches for attendance at qualified Chapter events from that day
forward. (No retroactive punches.)
5. Awards for top 3 point participants will be made at the Christmas Party in
December 2008.
Qualified Chapter Events:
- LOH activities - 25 each
- Group Riding - 10 each session (max 4)
- Slow Speed Riding - 10 each session (max 4)
- Chapter sanctioned rides - 5 each (max 7)
- Chapter meeting attendance - 5 each (max 10)
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. I signed in at the rides. Will that count as a punch?
No. Any sign-in sheets will be used by the Challenge Coordinator solely
for verification of participation if there is a perceived discrepancy.
2. What happens if I lose my TCHOG Women’s Riding
Challenge Card? You get to start over. Take good care of the card
because, if it is lost, you will not get credit for previous activities that you
participated in.
3. Where can I find the rules and answers to my questions?
On the LOH page of tchog.org. If you have a question at any time, please
email it to stone1060@comcast.net for an answer. As additional questions are
asked, the questions and answers will be added to the web site.
4. I didn’t get started in January. Can I still
participate? Yes. Please see the Challenge Coordinator at any Chapter
meeting for a card and a copy of the rules.
5. Can men participate? The TCHOG Women’s Riding
Challenge is a contest that is open to women only who are 2008 members of TCHOG.
6. Who makes the final decisions as to total points and
qualified participants? The Challenge Coordinator makes the decisions and
her decision is final.
7. I have an associate membership. Can I still
participate? Yes you can so long as the full membership that your
associate membership is attached to stays current during 2008.
8. Is the Challenge Coordinator participating? No
she isn’t so we avoid any conflict of interest.
9. I don’t ride a bike and sometimes want to participate
in LOH activities without the “rider”. Can I show up in my car? Yes you
can. While our focus is on the motorcycling experience, we would rather have you
participate in your car than not show up at all.
